On  Saturday 29th June from 10am to 5pm, local freemasons will be opening the doors of the Southgate Masonic Centre, everybody, male or female, young or old, are welcome and invited to call in at any time to meet the brethren and, over free tea and biscuits, ask any question on Freemasonry you would wish answered. It’s a unique and amazing opportunity to seek the facts about Freemasonry and why it has survived so long, gain a detailed insight into the history, workings, charity support and values of Freemasonry.

Freemasonry originated in medieval times and has hardly changed since; it is one of the world oldest fraternal societies. Discover how, why and what are the values of London Freemasons  and their support of the London community. Most recent a £2.5 million funding pledge from London Freemasons to London Fire Brigade. The funding will provide London Fire Brigade with two extended height aerial vehicles.

Experience what it is really like to enter a Masonic Lodge room with a guided tour by a local freemason. See and wear their regalia. Ask any question and it will be answered., also on show will be interesting artefacts from the Freemasons’ Museum in Great Queen Street some revealed “on tour” for the first time. Meet the leader of women’s freemasonry. Discover who are or were Freemasons, from George Washington, Winston Churchill, members of the Royal Family to Mozart, Sibelius, Nat King Cole, Bob Hope, Stanley Matthews, Sir Alf Ramsey and modern-day entertainers such as Rick Wakeman, Bradley Walsh, Joe Pasquale and Ray Dorset the leader of the famous Mungo Gerry band.

  • Recently launched an appeal to raise £2,500,000 to purchase on behalf of London Fire Brigade two super high rescue ladders (the highest in use in Europe) to help in safely evacuating residents from high rise buildings.
